🏆 Song of the Month (Community Voting)

How voting works

  1. One vote per user per month. Voters pick a song from any artist’s uploaded tracks. If you want to switch songs later in the month, open Manage Votes, retract your current vote, then vote again from the new track page.
  2. Transparent tally. Votes accumulate across the month (AEST calendar). The top-voted track wins.
  3. Tie-breakers. If there’s a tie, we use a deterministic tie-break: earliest upload wins (then a stable fallback only if still tied).
  4. Priority rule. If the winning artist is also drawn for either or both of the Weekly/Daily Lucky Dip’s in the same window as they win Song of the Month, they keep Song of the Month and the Weekly/Daily Lucky Dip’s are re-picked.

What the winner gets

  • The winning track is showcased on your home page and playable right here on Shuffyl!
  • Bragging rights and shareable links to boost discovery.

Fairness & integrity

  • One-account-one-vote per month.
  • Changing your mind is allowed, but only one live vote can exist at a time. Use Manage Votes to retract before casting a replacement vote.
  • Active anti-gaming: sub-60s plays don’t count towards monetization; caps protect against ultra-long tracks.
  • All timestamps follow AEST to keep things consistent for the launch market.
