🎲 Lucky Dip (Daily & Weekly)

What is Lucky Dip?

Lucky Dip gives unknown and emerging artists a real chance to be discovered. There are two independent draws you can apply for:

  • Daily Lucky Dip: one artist is featured for 24 hours.
  • Weekly Lucky Dip: one artist gets a prime, larger placement for 7 days (resets every Thursday at 00:00 AEST).

How it works

  1. Apply in-app: artists apply from their account — Daily requires a fresh application each day; Weekly applications remain open all week. If you want to swap songs before the draw, use Manage Votes to retract the current application and re-apply with another track.
  2. Fair selection: at AEST midnight, we randomly draw from that period’s applicant pool.
  3. Priority rule: if an artist wins multiple things at once, they only appear in the highest priority slot:
    • Priority 1: Song of the Month
    • Priority 2: Weekly Lucky Dip
    • Priority 3: Daily Lucky Dip
    Lower-priority wins are automatically re-picked so there’s no simultaneous featuring.

Eligibility & Rules

  • No overlap with Song of the Month: You cannot enter either Lucky Dip while you are the current Song of the Month. Entries reopen when your winner month ends (AEST).
  • Daily window: applications reset every AEST day; one winner displays for 24 hours.
  • Weekly window: the week runs Thu→Thu (AEST); one winner displays for 7 days.
  • Anti-repeat fairness: as applicant numbers grow, we limit repeat wins so more artists get a turn.

Tips for artists

  • Apply consistently for Daily — smaller pools can dramatically improve your odds.
  • Make sure your profile (artwork, bio, links) is ready — featured slots bring traffic.
  • Encourage fans to follow you — followers get notified about your tour dates and updates.
